My child has been referred to a youth justice conference

• Your child (and you if your child is under 16) will receive a letter from a youth justice conference manager. It will include the name of the convenor for your conference and contact details for the manager.

• The convener will meet with you and your child to prepare for the conference. They will also meet with any of your child's co-offenders and their families.

• The convener will meet with the victim(s) of your child's offence prior to the conference.

• At the conference your child and the victim may agree to an outcome plan. This plan will be designed to make up for the harm caused by your child.
